PRODUCTION STAFF NOTES (2007)

Nancy Kindelan, Director, is Associate Professor of Theatre at Northeastern University where she teaches dramatic literature and theory, dramaturgy courses, and directs plays. She has directed at professional theatres throughout the New England area. She writes on how theatre studies programs advance liberal learning by developing students who are socially responsible and civically engaged.

Inez Hedges, Writer, is Professor of French, German, and Cinema Studies and Stotsky Professor of Jewish Historical and Cultural Studies at Northeastern University. She is the founder and Co-Director of the Program in Cinema Studies. Her latest book is Framing Faust: Twentieth Century Cultural Struggles.

Janet Bobcean, Producer, is a director, designer and chair of the Theatre Department at Northeastern University. Her work has been seen at Lincoln Center (New York), The Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.), the Project Theatre (Dublin), The Hill Street Theatre (Edinburgh), Monomoy Theatre (Chatham), Macomb Performing Arts Center (Michigan) and the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival. Janet serves on the board of directors for the US/China Cultural and Educational Center, and is co-founder of My Fair Heathen Productions.

John R. Malinowski, Lighting Designer, has designed over 150 productions in the New England and along the east coast. His premieres include Robert Bmstein’s The English Channel and Spring Forward, Fall Back’, as well as Jackie, an American Life.’, Take Me Out, Caroline, or Change’, and Kiss of the Spidenvoman. Fie has received numerous awards for lighting design.

Matthew McAdon, Technical Director, is an Assistant Academic Specialist in the Theatre Department at Northeastern University, where he teaches scenic design and technical theatre. He has scenic design credits in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Eos Angeles and holds the MFA degree from the California Institute of the Arts.

Dennis Deal, Music and Sound Design, has written, composed and directed original works (plays, musicals, performance pieces) regionally, Off-Broadway, for the New York Fringe Festival and on London’s West End.

Jaime Schrank, Scene Design, is a junior double major in Art and Theatre at Northeastern University. Design credits include: Children of Drancy, and another new play The Death of May McAllister.

Jess Reed, Costume Design, is a senior Theatre major at Northeastern University. Previous work in both design and technology includes Guys & Dolls, Spring Awakening, The Altruists, The Marriage, and Free Will & Wanton Lust.
